Manchester City

As a Manchester City supporter since the late 1980s, it's no surprise that a large percentage of my collection is made up of their shirts.

I've managed to get a lot of those released during my time as a fan, though a few have proved elusive and I'll continue to try track them down.

My personal favourite is the 1997-1999 home shirt by Kappa, even if it divides opinion amongst fans due to the shade of blue.

The most recent offering from Umbro is also very nice, and in line with the high standards they set when coming on board back in 2009.

The worst shirt is probably the silver effort from 2000-2002, especially when you consider it was worn with neon yellow socks.

What's this all about then?

Over the past quarter of a century I have developed a hobby for collecting football shirts.

The majority of my collection is made up of the teams I follow - Manchester City, Shelbourne and Perth Glory, though the range extends far and wide taking in everything from Piacenza to Costa Rica to Persija Jakarta.

The purpose of this blog is to simply document each and every one, mainly so I remember what exactly I have! If other jersey enthusiasts enjoy looking at my collection then even better.

Now begins the long and tedious process of photographing each shirt.

Pics to follow…eventually!
